The fourth new map in PUBG is called Vikendi. It’s a 6×6 island in the Adriatic Sea. Though the Adriatic Sea is pretty warm we see the map in-game covered in snow. Bringing players into a post-apocalyptic scene to battle in. Development of the map began in 2017, the map was teased in Microsoft E3 2018 conference. Later on PUBG Corp attended The Game Awards 2018 and had a trailer of Vikendi to give to the audiences. That night Vikendi became available in test servers, eventually it was released on December 19th.
The design of the map was inspired by Slovenia to make the visual graphics. Vikendi was once home to businesses and villages. It’s covered in dense forests and has a warm Mediterranean coastline and snowy mountains in the central part of the map. Tourists who go to Vikendi could see the future from Cosomodrome, travel back to the past and walk with the giants at the Dino Park or visit the aging Castle, even taste wine at the Winery. As beautiful as it is, players who battle in Vikendi must watch their backs. After all the land is covered in fresh snow which is perfect for leaving footprints. Hunter becomes hunted with the footprints that you or your enemies leave behind.
