Despite being the target of heavy criticism for havings game-breaking bugs for the last couple of months, PUBG Corp is struggling to make the game more demanding to its existing player base.
While other Battle Royale titles are growing at a rate that almost seems like they are pulling in players from PUBG, the title that started the whole hype in the genre is falling behind. Hopefully, all of these are set to be in the past with the launch of Season 5.
As PUBG doesn’t enter new seasons as often as Fortnite or Apex Legends, each seasonal change brings major updates and fixes to the game as well as with new features. The next season, the 5th one is set to be released on October 29th and it’s already in test servers at the time of writing this post.
What’s new in PUBG Season 5?
Since there aren’t that many dataminers compared to previous years, we can’t really tell what we’re likely to see in PUBG next but we have one confirmation.
There will be throwable weapons, possibly replacing a few of the melee weapons. Although this is just a theory, given that the popularity of Crowbars and Machetes has always been low, it’s not that of a far thought.
You can watch the above trailer to get a feeling of what to expect in Season 5. In addition to all the new things we are going to have, there will be a visual update similar to the previous Erangel update but this time, it will be for Miramar.
Slowly but surely PUBG is becoming more exciting again and PUBG Corp has plans for taking additional security measures for detecting and banning cheaters in-game. All and all PUBG fans are expecting October 29 seasonal update which is thought to be at least 20 GB on PC and about half of that on consoles.
