Compared to other battle royale games such as Fortnite and APEX Legends PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has a quite bit of larger map size. We assume that the map size of PUBG is 6 kilometers across, making it one of the larger maps in the battle royale genre. Since there are mostly 100 players each match. When you have that many players you must have a big map so that the players wouldn’t clash to each other, turning the game into a regular FPS game instead of a battle royale.

There are various places to land in and start looking for items. Some of these places in the map are very popular amongst players. Such as School and Hospital, Military Base and towns like Pochinki.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds map is the same for every platform including mobile devices. Each square on the map represents 1 kilometre. Considering it’s size some places are pretty isolated but it doesn’t mean that you are unlikely to come face to face with some enemies. Since the map is shrinking randomly bit by bit, you are forced to get closer to your opponent in the later stages of the game.
