Gamescom 2018 PUBG Invitational Event

Pubg Corporation, the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developer and publisher have teamed up once again with ESL, the worlds largest e-sports company to bring you the Gamescom 2018 Invitational Event with a tremendous prize pool of $2.000.000. The event held in Berlin, Germany, inside the MercedesBenz Arena. It is also the first world championship in competitive PUBG. It brought us 20 teams from around the world, who have earned their way into the tournament through regional qualifiers.

During the first two days of the tournament matches have played in Third-Person-Perspective(TPP), the last two days were in First-Person-Perspective(FPP). $2.000.000 prize money will be divided between winners of the two categories. 

There were a total number of;

  • 1 team from Oceanic
  • 1 team from Latin America
  • 1 team from Taiwan
  • 2 teams from Japan
  • 2 teams from Korea
  • 2 teams from PUBG China Pro Invitational
  • 1 team from Middle East 
  • 1 team from Thailand
  • 1 team from SEA Championship
  • 2 teams from CIS
  • 3 teams from North America
  • 3 teams from Europe

Eventually each of these teams have clashed with eachother and got us the winner who had the chicken dinner. Winners of the third-person-perspective was;

-Gen.G Gold, a South Korean Team taking the 1st place.

-Team Liquid, an e-sports team from Europe taking the 2st place.

-Welcome to South Georgo another European team taking the 3rd place.
