Since the release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, battle royale genre have been growing rapidly. Fortnite originally designed as a PVE game but after the success of PUBG, developers of Fortnite added a battle royale game for it’s players and made it free-to-play later on. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds $29.99 price tag was making lots of players to stay away from the game itself and when there was a lot of hunger for a free-to-play battle royale game, Fortnite stepped in and caught the attention of many players worldwide. While keeping some of the mechanics in PVE mode, it turned battle royale genre into a more colorful play.

Both games are keeping the traditional battle royale playstyles, there are many speculations that Fortnite is a knock-off of Battlegrounds though there are many differences in both games that makes them drastically different.
